A compact unit that punches above its 55 pints

The AlorAir Sentinel HD55 is the smallest unit in AlorAir’s crawl space lineup, and its two capacity numbers tell you how to read it. Its AHAM rating is 55 pints per day at 80°F and 60% relative humidity — the standardized, comparable lab benchmark. Its saturation rating is 120 pints per day, measured near 100% humidity. That’s more than double, and it’s not a trick: the AHAM figure is a controlled condition close to a managed crawl space, while the saturation number is best-case output in a soaking-wet space. Use the 55-pint figure to compare the HD55 against other units, and treat the 120 as headroom for a genuinely saturated space, not an everyday rate. AlorAir claims 1,300 square feet of coverage, which — as with any coverage claim — is a starting point to check against your real volume and climate in the sizing calculator, not a guarantee.

Why not just use a regular dehumidifier?
